Clarksburg Teen Charged with Attempted Murder

A 16-year-old male has been arrested and charged as an adult for a shooting that occurred on Thursday, November 16, 2023.

 

Montgomery County Department of Police – 5th District detectives arrested Lekota Martin, Jr., of Clarksburg, on Monday, November 20 for his involvement in a shooting in the 20700 block of Crystal Hill Circle in Germantown.

 

Martin, Jr. is accused of shooting into a residence on Crystal Hill Circle. No one was injured during the shooting. The victims contacted police to report hearing a gunshot and discovered bullet holes inside of the home.

 

During the course of the investigation, Martin, Jr. was identified as the suspect. Additionally, he is alleged to have been in possession of a loaded Polymer80 privately manufactured firearm (PMF) with an extended magazine inside a Montgomery County public school. The PMF was recovered on Friday, November 17.

 

Following his arrest, Martin, Jr. was transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit and has been charged with first-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault, possession of a loaded handgun, and other weapons-related charges. He is currently awaiting a bond hearing.
